4 x Kidney – Renal Function Disease Tests – CE & Same As GP Test!
Kidney disease is a disease where the kidneys stop functioning normally. This listing is for 4 tests in total – you will get 2 test packs which both contain two individually foiled/sealed tests and each test strip has 3 separate reaction areas that look for the presence of protein, creatinine and specific gravity. It is the same test that a doctor would use.
When should I use this test?
It is recommended that you take this test if you are suffering from fluid retention, high blood pressure, blood in the urine, frequent urination, difficulty urinating or a reduced volume of urine during urination, fatigue, lack of appetite, nausea, or soreness in the waist or lower back area. These are all symptoms of kidney disease.
How do I carry out the test?
1. Collect a sample of urine in a clean and dry container. Make sure there are no traces of any detergents in the container.
2. Remove the test stick from the sealed foil container and immerse in the urine sample for 1 second and remove immediately.
3. Lay the test stick on a dry tissue and wait 30-60 seconds.
4. Compare the resultant colour change on the test stick with the colour chart in the pack.
It is that simple. Though this test is the same as the one a doctor would do an abnormal result is only an initial indication of elevated chemical markers and not conclusive of a specific diagnosis. Further testing and consultation with a healthcare professional is necessary to confirm the presence of a specific disease or health condition.
